David I. Pomerantz
Family. Community. Service. Since 1985, attorney David Pomerantz has fought for the rights of families, workers, consumers, and small businesses. A graduate of the University Michigan, and The Ohio State College of Law, he has made his reputation litigating complex medical malpractice and product liability cases, motor vehicle collisions, nursing home neglect, worker’s compensation claims and small business matters. Mr. Pomerantz also handles probate, basic estate planning, wills and deeds. He has written and lectured extensively on medical malpractice, auto collision claims, insurance issues, and evidence, including writing the chapter on medical malpractice in the book, Tort Law, as well as serving as Editor-In-Chief of Law & Fact Magazine. Mr. Pomerantz is familiar in the area for his appearances on television and radio discussing various aspects of the law, and for his 2004 run for Ohio State Representative. He has served on the Boards of the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers, Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys, and Cuyahoga County Bar Association. He volunteered for Trial Lawyers Care, which provided free legal assistance to the victims of 9/11.
For his efforts, Mr. Pomerantz has been awarded membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, recognizing attorneys who have obtained verdicts and settlements in excess of $1 million, and received the 2003 President’s Award for Outstanding Service from the Cuyahoga County Bar Association.
Mr. Pomerantz also has a long and varied record of giving back to our community, serving on the Boards and as Committee Chair of the local chapters of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, National Head Injury Foundation, and Jewish Welfare. In the political arena, he serves on the Executive Committee of the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party, and is Past-President of the Solon Democratic Club. David was a long-time Little League coach, presenter at the Solon Schools’ Career Days, and participant in charitable activities from the Stroh’s and Ameritrust 10K runs to the “150K Pedal-to-the-Point” bicycle tour for MS.
